The Rookery is located right next to London’s oldest meat market - right near Paddington Station. It is ripe with history and I walked the market a few times during my trip - open 24/7 but most of the action happens between midnight and 5am. They have tons of photos of men carrying whole cow carcasses back in the day. I was sure that didn’t happen nowadays until I saw this guy hauling a pig on his back.
